Holiness

Holiness for the Saints and for You, Revelation 7, Ephesians 1, Matthew 5

As we reflect upon the meaning of All Saints’ Day, we remember that the saints are the holy ones of God. The holiness they have though is not a holiness they create, but one that is given to them by the work of Christ.

Sanctified by Ascension, John 17:11b-19

Jesus spent time in deep prayer for his disciples and all those who will come to believe in Christ through their word. What does this prayer reveal to us about he work of Jesus after his ascension? We see through his words that he knew he would ascend and that he would continue to present us to the Father that we might be washed and sanctified in the truth of God.

Eyes Opened to the Light, John 9.1-13, 28-42

When Jesus heals a man born blind, he does something that no one had ever done. In the midst of that, he shows that the Light will overcome the darkness though the darkness will continually fight against it and all those who follow the Light.

Grace Anglican welcomes guest preacher, David Moody today! In his sermon from Isaiah 57, he shows us that while Yahweh is truly the holy one, he comes to dwell with us and heal us. That dwelling and healing is found in Jesus Christ himself and we are called to faith to receive this reality that God is working into us!
